Project Background

The Oakleaf Group carried out a complete review of the entire of Northumberland County Council’s building stock over a five year period. The project involved a rooms based condition survey, with all data being uploaded into the Council’s Evo1ution database, and a Suitability/Sufficiency review. The condition survey also required the updating and checking of existing room layouts and production of detailed building by building summary reports.

The challenge of surveying not only a significant built estate but also the geographical spread over a county the size of Northumberland was great but one comfortably met by the Oakleaf Surveying team. The variety of building stock that the Council own and maintain also a challenge with numerous listed buildings (Including Scheduled Ancient Monument), unorthodox building styles and structural issues to report upon.
